Description:

The monument is situated on the killing site. The monument is made from granite, there are inscriptions in Yiddish and Lithuanian, and the Star of David above the texts. The text in Yiddish is engraved on the black surface of granite and looks like an attached plaque. The site in front of the monument is fenced with a low decorative metal fence, painted blue.

אויף דעם אׇרט האׇבן די
היטלערישע רוצחים און
זייערע ארטיקע באהעלפער
אין 1941 דערמאׇרדעט
וואשקיער ייִדן

Translation: On this site, / the Hitlerite murderers and / their local helpers, / in 1941, murdered / Jews of Vashki.

Lithuanian:

Šioje vietoje hitleriniai bude-
liai ir jų vietiniai talkininkai
1941 m. žudė Vaškų miestelio
žydus

Translation: At this place Hitler’s butchers / and their local helpers / in 1941 murdered the Jews of the town / of Vaškai.
