Description
The monument, made of shaped stone, consists of a vertical rectangular central slab with two columns on each side, is adorned with a marble plaque, and has a beveled platform decorated with a semicircular marble plaque.
On the front of the uppermost section of the monument the years '1941-1945' are engraved. Beneath this is the marble plaque with the commemorative inscription devoted to the community's last rabbi Abraham David Hoffman and with the names of the victims written in alphabetical order using a combination of Hungarian, German, and Serbo-Croatian orthography (for example, the last names: Dajč and Fišer are written in Serbo-Croatian, while Fränkel and Müller in German, first names: Jene and Roži written in Serbo-Croatian, as opposed to Sámuel and Klára written in Hungarian, etc).
The plaque on the horizontal section features the Magen David engraved with the Hebrew letters ת ש ג ד ה ק -which indicate the years 1942-3, 1943-4, and 1944-5, and bears an inscription in Hebrew.

Translation: The names of the martyrs from our community who were killed and burned for the sanctification of the Name in Auschwitz, Ukraine, Hungary, and Germany. / 1942-3, 1943-4, 1944-5 / May their soul be bound up in the bond of life / 'Our Father, our King, avenge before our eyes, the blood of your servants that has been spilled.'
