This memorial is a rectangular dark granite wall plaque with inscribed text. A simple Magen David is inscribed at the top. The Magen David and text are colored gold.

Translation: The Synagogue of Hranice / The important cultural monument was built in 1863-4 on the site of an older synagogue from the 17th century, in the new Romanesque style, by builder Františk Macher. It was restored for cultural purposes in 1994-5. The Jewish community in Hranicí was established in 17th century and destroyed by the nazis in 1939-45. Racial persecution meant death for 197 residents of the Jewish religion. / Town of Hranice / Jewish Community Olomouc
