Summary and Remarks
History

A ghetto in Volodymyrets was established in Spring of 1942, there were about 3,000 Jews there. On August 28, during the liquidation of the ghetto, about 2,000 Jews were shot in Smoliarna Tract [Tsal Kaplun Foundation].

The first monument was erected near the road, about 200 from the killing site, in 1990 [Tsal Kaplun Foundation]. The second monument was established on the killing site.

On May 8, 2022, after the main commemoration ceremony on the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, which took place at the Monument to the Motherland, the local authority representatives laid flowers to this monument  ["U Volodymyrtsi vshanuvaly..."].

On January 27, 2022, a head of a local veteran community, a head of a children's Cossack association, a leader of a local scout organization, a military chaplain, and a police representative commemorated the International Holocaust Remembrance Day near both of the monuments.
