Summary and Remarks
History

According to Yad Vashem and Tsal Kaplun Foundation, several hundreds of Jews were taken to the tank trenches behind the Polish cemetery and shot there in on August 3, 1942. Based on German reports, 794 Jews were killed there. The Soviet Extraordinary State Commission estimated the number of victims as 2,000 [Yad Vashem].

The first monument on the mass grave had the information that a monument will be erected here. The date of creation of the monument is unknown. It is also unclear, where did the information about 35,000 Victims on the monument come from. Seemingly, some years after the appearance of the first memorial slab, another monument was erected on the same mass grave, the date of its creation is also unknown.
