Summary and Remarks
History

The city of Rijeka was under Italian occupation until 1943. After the German army occupied the city in late 1943, about 260 Jews were sent to death camps.

A memorial plaque in memory of the victims was fixed next to the entrance door to the synagogue in 1958.
