Jewish victims of the Holocaust from Braşov and North Transylvania

Description:

The monument is situated in the courtyard of the Neolog Synagogue in Braşov, near its western corner.

It is a prism block covered by black marble, standing on a low square base, which is situated on a round pedestal with a white Star of David.

Almost identical Romanian, English, and Hebrew inscriptions are written on the facets, while the names of the architect and contractors appear on the base. Symbolic signs consisting of the Star of David, flames, and the years 1944-2014 are engraved above the inscriptions. In the Romanian inscription appears the phrase "Si nu au morminte" ["And they have no graves"] which is missing from the English and Hebrew texts.
