Fol. 73: Text page opening the prayer of Kol Nidre (“All personal vows”) (כל נדרי) for the Day of Atonement, including a half-page architectonic frame executed by artist A in brown ink, enclosing the initial word “All” (כל). The initial word is outlined in brown ink in display letters enclosed by a wide arch resting on capitals. Rising up from behind the arch on each side is a narrow tower with a gabled roof. From the centre of the arch rises a wide short tower with two partially cut off shofar blowers set on the flat roof. Flanking the centre tower are short, wide buildings with arcaded windows. The initial word is partially filled in with spared ground animals (including an elephant) on a black ink ground, and a small part of the arch is decorated with black scrolls. Both these are additions by a later hand of the 18th century.
