Description
The following description was prepared by William Gross:
This delightful creation is a "Kimpetbreifel", a papercut made to serve as a birth amulet, to protect both mother and child. It is meant primarily as a defense against Lilith. The colorful and charming animal symbols probably place the origin of this papercut in a rural area of southern Germany.
