The first membrane is well preserved; it is slightly dirty.
The first four columns of text that are written on the first membrane of the scroll. The right edge of the membrane is blank and trimmed into a decorative polylobed shape. The Hebrew text of the Book of Esther is written within an architectonic frame formed of pointed arches. The spaces between them are filled with floral decoration.

The scroll is formed of 5 sheets, containing in total 30 columns of text of 22 lines of various lengths each.
The text is written in Hebrew square Oriental script with tagin in dark brown ink on the flesh side of the parchment membranes.
The letter ח (Es. 1:6) is not highlighted.
The ruling made by a stylus is well visible along with the membranes.
