Description:
The monument is situated on the killing site, which currently is a park.
The memorial consists of 9 oak sculptures resembling traditional Lithuanian roofed poles or roofed pillars. Originally there were 10 sculptures, but one has been lost. In the center, there are two pillars united by a common roof. A Lithuanian dedication is attached to them in the lower tier, while three wooden bells hang in the upper one. An additional pillar bears the names of the local folk sculptors in Lithuanian, the dedication in Russian, and the date. Another composite pillar stands at the entrance to the site.

On July 21, 1941, a squad of Lithuanian white armbanders transported the arrested Jews in trucks from Panevėžys prison to the forest of Kaizerlingas (Staniūnai). In all 103 people were shot: 70 Jews, 23 Lithuanians, 9 Russians, and 1 Pole.
The memorial was erected in 1979. The restoration of the sculptures took place in 2006. Originally, there were 10 sculptures, but now left 9. The names of the local sculptors are listed on one of the oak pillars. The architect of the memorial is V. Žygas.
On February 18, 1993, the monument was registered in the State Cultural Register of the Republic of Lithuania of national importance (no. 11060).
