The drawing represents a view of an empty settlement. Its low primitive buildings are shown from above. To the left, there is a complex of houses with gently sloping roofs, an attic above and an arch below. A little bit behind it there is a building with a bunch of drain-pipes on the corner. In the central lower part of the drawing there is a small house, resemling a sarcophagus, with an annexe which has a flat roof. To the right, there stick out several chimneys, while in the upper part of the drawing there is a long barrack. All these buildings surround a kind of a square with a strange structure in the center resembling an execution place. It is a stone platform with a pole on it.
