The portrait represents a forty-year-old woman sitting on a chair. Her body is slightly turned left while her head is turned right. The right hand leaning on the back of the chair clasps the left one. The woman wears a light-grey blouse with broad bell-shaped sleeves up to the elbows and with a triangular low neck. She wears also a black skirt. A dark-blue drape or a jacket with white stripes is thrown over her left arm bent in the elbow. The background of the portrait is light green.
