Text columns 3 and 4 (sheet no. 1) surrounded by a decorative painted border.
In the lower margin, below the third panel, Mordecai at the palace gate is depicted (Es. 2:19 and/or Es. 2:21). In the background several buildings are visible.
In the lower margin, below panel no. 4, the marriage of Ahasuerus and Esther is depicted (not mentioned in the text). A similar depiction appears in two popular groups of printed Amsterdam megillot from the 18th century (in the Index see "scrolls with landscapes" and "scrolls with portrait medallions") and in the scrolls by Marcus Donath of Nitra (in the Index see "First Nitra Esther Scroll" and "Second Nitra Esther Scroll").
In the space between text panels nos. 3 and 4 a standing figure of Esther is depicted; she has a fashionable headdress à la fontange. The next two spaces are filled with an ornament.
