In its center of the synagogue ceiling there was an interior dome, painted blue. This archival photo from 1924 shows the dome before it was transfered to the museum. The dome is the only part of the ceiling that was preserved in the museum. On the lower rim of the dome there is a painted balustrade. The four painted posts support four vases of flowers.
