Description

The following description was prepared by William Gross: No description.

Chajes, p. 359: 'This ilan amulet, prepared for one Elazar ben Ezekiel, was passed down over the last few generations in a pure silver case. The requirement to keep the parchment in such a case was a standard part of the inscription found on every such artifact. Not all silver cases were created equal, however, and the one that carried this ilan was a beauty. Its attractiveness was apparently irresistible to one of William Gross's innumerable guests. Its whereabouts are currently unknown.
