The following description was prepared by William Gross:
Heart picture, with special font that resembles cursive Hebrew script. This font is used is several other publications in the Gross Family Collection, including protocols of the Ashkeanzic commuity and a small book of texts for contracts and other documents. It would appear that this font was developed by Proops for the use of his printing house.
The Proops family was involved in the printing of Hebrew books in Amsterdam from the beginning of the 18th century. As the longest lasting such printing house in that city over generations, their publications spanned more than 150 years.
