This amulet is almost one meter in length, carrying a very nicely written text and several diagrams, including a hand. The opening lines of the amulet state very clearly its purpose: the recovery from an illness suffered by the bearer, Shlomo ben Dinah.  His name is mentioned many times in the text of the amulet. In addition the amulet asks for protection for him from evil spirits, bad thoughts and dreams, fears and anxieties and even a specific request for prevention of sleep walking! There are hints that he needs protection from somone who is using magic to harm him.
