The following description was prepared by William Gross:
Written on a piece of parchment, this amulet carries a variety of visual symbols. Most prominent is the stylized figures of the 3 angels that appear on almost all the work of this scribe in the lower part of the scroll, but lacking oft appearing figure of Lilith. On this example appear as well two magic squares with the large one depicting the 72 letter name of God. The amulet turns to the power of the four rivers of paradise as listed in Kabbalah. The image of the hand with the thumb to the left symbolizes the Kabbalistic value of Gevurah. On this example of the scribes work he also uses a Magen David of micrographic script and well as a sword to protect against Lilith.
The purpose of the amulet is to protect the mother and child as well as easing fears and anxieties. There is place for a name, but the name is not filled in. On the back of the amulet is written "La-Yeled. The length of the amulet is framed by text.
