The following description was prepared by William Gross:
The Tikim in Uzbekistan were rather simple, generally being of wood covered with velvet. The dedication plaques on the inside most often contained the texts identifying the donors and the people in whose honor or memory the Tik was donated to the synagogue. In this case, the example is one of the two plaques in a triangular shape inside the dome of the Torah Tik, both of them containing the same inscription. These are more elaborate than most examples amd are decorated as well as inscribed. This Tik was donated by Babagan Pinchasof in honor of his wife Tzruya. The donor also states that he was helped by their grandson Mordechai who lives in Jerusalem. The illustration of the Kotel on the plaque is unusual for such objects.
Donor: Donated by Babagan Pinchasof
In Honor of: Tzruya bat Malka
