There exist many Ketubot from Yazd, several of which are in the Gross Family Collection. This example with its exquisite delicate work across the top in Persian painting style is perhaps the earliest known example from this city and the one with the finest decorative scheme. The borders represent a fine example of Persian art. This document has a different layout than the later more standard Ketubot. This wedding took place on December 11, 1800 (24 Kislev )
