The following description was prepared by William Gross:

One of four such works in the Gross Family Collection, this appears to be a written poem with illustration in the upper section. In the Samaritan tradition this type of poem was composes by friends or family and is personal in nature regarding the specific couple about to marry under the Chupah. It was read before them and the guests before the reading of the Ketubah.
