Description

The following description was prepared by William Gross:

Among the Ruzhiner Hassidim there exists a particular type of cup for blessing the wine on the Sabbath and festivals. Its shape is unique to this branch of Hassidism and includes a three leaf base, a tree branch type column and the round shape of the cup itself with a cover. This appears to be one of the oldest such cups, probably dating from the first half of the 19th century.
