The following description was prepared by William Gross:

This is an interesting pair of Rimmonim that represents what often happened in communities that could not afford a special pair of Rimmonim of classic design. The upper part is surely from some other use, such as a decorative finial for larger object such as a piece of furniture. That upper portion was wedded to brass tube below to fit on the Atzei Chaim. Even the lower part of the two Rimmonim were from different pieces of sheet brass, one being decorated.
