Description

This text was prepared by William Gross:

The first work, Avodat Kehunah is a klabbalistic work with several illustrations. Both the text and the illustrations deal with the service of and the Kohens’s blessings during that service. The title page, which also has the kohen’s spread hands on states that it is taken from a manuscript found, copied and brought to press by R. Moses Panet and that the author’s name will be given at the end of the text. The last name in the book is that of R. Menahem Mendel Panet but it is not in the context of author of the actual work. In addition to several illustration of the Kohen’s spread hands with inscriptions on the fingers and hand related to the Sefirot and other kabbalistic interpretations. There is also an illustration of the menorah with comparable inscriptions.      Brought to Press by:  Moshe Panet
