Description

The synagogue is one of the most impressive early Hungarian synagogues, towering above the surrounding houses. It was built in 1846 as a building with Italianate, Florentine-styled façades and a lofty interior with two tiers of women’s galleries. Currently (2018) the building is abandoned.
