Sacred and Ritual Objects Torah shield
The silver Torah shield is rectangular and terminates with a semi circular arch. A square panel is depicted in the centre bearing a dedicatory inscription. It is written in full square letters and reads:
"ז"נ )זאת נדבת( איש חשוב דוב בן כמההר)כבוד מורנו הרב רבי( אברהם שבת לפרי)?( תקלו לפ"ק".
"This is the donation of the distinguished man Dov the son of the honourable Rabbi Abraham Shabat the year 1776".
The panel is held by two rampant lions facing backwards and revealing their tongue. It is surrounded by foliate scrolls. Two rings are mounted at the arch's back. The chain is missing.
