Who is Commemorated?

The Jews of Krynki, Poland, who perished in the Holocaust.

Description:
The monument is located in the Western Alley of the cemetery, along with dozens of other Holocaust memorials built by Landsmannschaft organizations, survivors, and relatives.

The monument consists of an upright stone slab set on the stepped base. The slab is chiseled and rounded. The central inscription is embossed and carved more deeply into the stone than the other inscriptions. The monument is surrounded by fourshort columns connected with a metal chain.

Translation: In memory of the martyrs / of the Krynki community / who perished during the Holocaust / in Poland / Their memory will never be forgotten / May God avenge their blood.
