The Jews of Działoszyce, Skalbmierz, and Kazimierza Wielka, Poland, perished in the Holocaust.
Description:
The monument is located in the Western Alley of the cemetery, along with dozens of other Holocaust memorials built by Landsmannschaft organizations, survivors, and family members.
The memorial is a light-colored stone slab rounded at the top, it is set on a black marble base rounded at the front. On the back of the base, is a locked door that secures a small niche containing a scroll with the names of the Jews of Działoszyce, Skalbmierz, and Kazimierza Wielka, who perished in the Holocaust. On the black base, there is a stone bowl.
The metal fence surrounds the monument. The bowl and the fence were not a part of the monument at the unveiling ceremony [see photograph 36630 in The Archive of Ghetto Fighters' House].
