Description:

 The monument is situated on the killing site. The site is not fenced.

The monument is a granite stele. A Yiddish inscription occupies its central part; beneath it, there is a Lithuanian inscription. A Star of David is depicted in the upper part of the stele.

די וויזשונער יידן,
וועלכע די נאציס און זיערע
אָרטיקע באהעלפער האָבן דא
אומגעבראכט אין 1941

Translation: In memory of the Jews of Vizhun, whom the Nazis and their local helpers murdered here in 1941.

Lithuanian:

Vyžuonų žydams,
kuriuos nacistai ir jų
vietiniai talkininkai
nužudė 1941 m., atminti

Translation: In memory of the Jews of Vyžuonos, whom the Nazis and their local helpers murdered in 1941.
