Jewish Funerary Art Site of the Jewish cemetery in Sianów, Poland
According to ESJF European Jewish Cemeteries Initiative, the Jewish cemetery in Sianów was established in the 19th century in the north-eastern part of the town, at Pollnower Strasse (now Łubuszan Street). The cemetery survived the Nazi period and World War II without major damage, it was liquidated only in the 1970s. It is not known what happened to the tombstones. Currently, residential buildings are built in the cemetery, the land belongs to private owners.
The site is occupied by a partially built backyard behind houses at 24 and 26 Łubuszan Street. No traces remain of the Jewish necropolis.
The cemetery is located at the southern side of Łubuszan Street, behind the houses at 24 and 26, Łubuszan Street. Access is from a dirt road parallel to Łubuszan Street and the Polnica River.
