Sacred and Ritual Objects  Spice container

The tower shaped spice container consists of a receptacle, an apex and a shaft. The square receptacle has two tiers of diminishing size. The bottom tier has a square balustrade around the lower part, with a flower at each corner. The receptacle facets bear floral motifs and one facet has an arched door with a handle in its center. Round columns that terminate in flags with flowers on top of their poles can be found each corner of the tier. The top tier has a window divided into two on each facet. There are twisted columns at each corner. The receptacle is surmounted by a undulating square roof bearing floral and foliate designs. The apex is composed of a narrow pole with a wavy flag at the top. The receptacle is supported by a undulating square shaft situated in the center of a raised sqaure base. The base is supported by four legs shaped like a female head with curly hair.
