Jewish printed books Mishpat ve-Tzedakah be-Ya'akov, Alexandria, 1894
This text was prepared by William Gross:
This volume was published thanks to the contributions of a number of individual from Morocco whose names are listed on a page in the book. Among them is Rafael Ibn Zur. The example was personally dedicated to Ibn Zur with a gold tooled inscription of the red leather binding. The volume was sponsored by the Holy Society of Dovevei Siftei Yeshanim in Fez. The list of contributers, primarily from Morocco, is printed after the title page, the first of whom is Rafael Ibn Zur. The society, apparently on the name of Ya'akov Ibn, is sponsoring the printed of a book of responsa of Ya'akov Ibn Zur, the grandfather of Rafael Ibn zur. The book was printed in Alexandria because no Hebrew printing press existed at this time in Fez. Sponsored by Dovevei Siftei Yeshenim
