Jewish printed books  JMP Zvi Livni (Malabenchik) Printed Esther Scroll, Tel Aviv, 1971

This scroll, printed on paper, contains the Hebrew text of the Book of Esther. Each text box, which all contain two columns of text, is surrounded by a colorful ornamental border in the shape of a jug with a lid on it. Each text box is numbered using the letters of the Hebrew alphabet at the top (in the "lid" of the jug), and the first word of each text box is written in large text and decorated with colorful ornamentation in the "lid" as well. In the bottom of every "jug", the title מגלת אסתר ("Book of Esther") is printed. Between the text panels are illustrations of scenes from the Book of Esther narrative (7 in total) that are directly related to the surrounding text. All the scenes are labeled in Hebrew with quotations from the book. In the 8th text panel, below the final part of the Megillah, שושנת יעקב "Shoshanat Yaakov" is printed.

This scroll is stored in a cardboard tube decorated with a figure of the enthroned Queen Esther with two men bowing to her. Below them, there is a Hebrew inscription bearing the original name of the artist - Zvi Malabenchik - which notes that the scroll was issued by Sinai Tel Aviv Publishing house in 1971.
