Modern Jewish Art
  Rabinovitch, Fight over Jerusalem

© Center for Jewish Art, Photographer: Radovan, Zev, 1994
The painting is constructud from the painted canvas and on top of it a wooden stick. At the end of the stick, on the corner of the canvas there is a wooden donkey. From the stick a chain is coming down with a blue iron circle. The circle "frames" a small brass plate. On the plate there is a low relief of the wailing wall, the dome of the rock and the Hebrew words:"The fight over Jerusalem". while the rest of the canvas has abstract shapes in green and yellow into which the plate almost disappears, the blue iron circle stands out because of its strong color. The background looks like a jig-saw puzzele make of the green lines framing fragments of yellow colors.
