Modern Jewish Art
Rabinovitch, "and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem".

© Center for Jewish Art, Photographer: Radovan, Zev,
The sculpture is constructed from 4 date-palm trees whose truncks are inside a square stone. The stone is in mid-air, hanging above ground and creating extra shelter and shadow. On the upper side of the trees, about 3/4 of their hight streches an iron net painted blue. It seems as if the 4 trees support both the heavy stone bellow and the lighter net above, thus creating a thatch in the dessert.
