Sacred and Ritual Objects Torah pointer
The flat Torah pointer consists of a bar a pointer and a hanger.
The flat bar is divided into an upper arm and a forearm.
The upper arm is decorated with rectangular units that one of their sides is elongated octagonal. The units are crossed with pairs of grooves.
The elongated drop-shaped forearm has a straight cut upper edge. One of it’s sides is not decorated and the other one bears a dedicatory inscription in square Hebrew letters written towards the upper arm. It reads:
"נ"כ רחמים יצחק לוי הי"ו"
“? Rahamim Yzhak Levi may the lord protect and sustain him”
The forearm has waved borders and terminates with a cuff.
A pointer shaped as a clenched hand with an extended index finger terminates the bar.
A chain and a bell are attached to a ring that is inserted through a hole at the top of the narrow upper arm.
