The wooden Torah^case consists of a body and a coronet. ##The body is distempered in red, white and green. Each of his eleven facets is decorated with a vertical floral motif. Multifoiled arches, appear at the bottom and the top, with a horizontal floral pattern between the arches. Three metal bands attached by dome-headed nails encircle the body. The case is closed by a pair of brass hook clasps. There is a pair of brass hinges at the back. The inner face is painted wood. ##Two wooden rimon mounts are fixed to the top of the case. The coronet has eleven flower-shaped facets, decorated with stemmed leaves gathered at the centre by an oval ring. ##Rectangular dedicatory plaques, made of paper and covered by glass are attached to the inner face. The plaques are decorated with four flowers on each side. The plaques bear a dedicatory inscription beginning in an arched line and continuing on five horizontal lines within the arch. The inscription, written in black full letters, reads from the right: תורה צוה לנו משה מורשה קהלת יעקב: עץ חיים היא## תורה למחזיקים בה ותמכוה## מאושר:דרכיה דרכי נעם## וכל נתיבותיה שלום: עה!ק ירושלים ## תו! שנת ת'ש'ד Deut.33:4, Prov.3:18, Prov.3:17, followed by !The holy city (int.)
