The tas is made of silver and consists of a plate and a crest. The plate is in the shape of a cartouche. It is decorated with two rampant lions looking forwards. They support five and five Tables of the Covenant inscribed with the first words of the Decalogue. Above them is a curtain. The frame for the calendar tablet is rectangular and set in the lower section. At the bottom is a medaillion which bears a dedicatory inscription. The plate's background is punched. The pl ate is framed by foliate scrolls. A crest in the shape of a crown is attached to the plate. It is decorated by openwork flowers. The dedicatory inscription is angraved inoutline lettters, and reads: $$1?## האשה$$1? תי ##בת הענדל לזכרון נשמת## בעלה אשר ענזל שטיינפעלד## בן שמואל ז"ל ## ת'ר'צ'ו לפק "$$1? ## The woman$$1? may she live(int.)## daughter of Hendel in the memory of the soul## of her husband Asher Ensel Steinfeld ## son of Samuel of blessed memory (int.)## 1936"
