Memorial name

Museum / Paneriai Memorial Information Centre

Although not a memorial of the Holocaust, the building is an integral part of the Paneriai memorial complex.

Who is Commemorated?

Victims murdered in Paneriai.

Description:

A museum at the killing site of Paneriai was established between 1959 and 1960, in a wooden building that also contained the director’s apartment. In 1983 the building burned down, and in 1985 a new two-story white brick building was built. In 2018, the museum became the Paneriai Memorial Information Centre and its exhibition was renovated.

A granite sign in the shape of a T in front of the building bears identical inscriptions in Lithuanian, Yiddish, and English.
