The goblet shaped cup is composed of a base, a shaft and a receptacle. The round wavy base tapers into the shaft and bears a foliate design. The shaft widens to envelop the bottom of the receptacle and resembles a flower. The smooth receptacle bears a dedicatory inscription which reads: "In honor of the exalted the ? our Rabbi Hertz ? son of the deceased the honourable Rabbi Abraham Schitz sexton of the high synagogue on the day of his seventieth birthday the year [5]661=(1900)". The intertwined initials "SH" and the years 1830-1900 follow the inscription.
