The prismatic Torah case is formed of ten-facets and has a flat roof surrounded by a coronet. It is divided into two vertical halves, closed in front by a hook and joined at the back by two hinges.
The case is of plain wood and is encircled in its upper edges by a wooden strip, while on the bottom the strip is graduated forming a tiny base.
The coronet is composed of ten units of plain wood. Each unit continues the body's facets, and is designed as an open flower formed of a roundel with pierced petals.
The inner face of the Torah case is of plain wood with two pairs of holes for inserting the Torah scroll staves, set at the roof and the bottom of the case.
The case is enveloped with a nailed wrapper which was dedicated with the case by Rebecca the wife of Raphael Johanan Russo (for the wrapper see: Sc.525-24;).
