The prismatic Torah case is formed of fourteen-facets and has a flat roof surrounded by a coronet (see: main photograph). It is divided into two vertical halves, closed in front by a hook and joined at the back by two hinges.
The case is painted blue, while each facet is framed with a golden paint. a brass band decorated with intertwining branches encircles it's edges.
The stepped coronet is of plain wood and is painted in its inner face with dark blue paint. It is composed of fourteen units, which continue the body's facets (fig. 1).
The inner face of the Torah case is of plain wood, painted in semicircles of green and red, which form a circle when the case is closed. It is also covered by a stripped textile, with green and white horizontal stripes. Two pairs of holes for inserting the Torah scroll staves are at the roof and the bottom of the case.
The case is enveloped with a nailed wrapper which was dedicated with the case, by the same donour, named Abraham Negrin (for the wrapper see: Sc.525-26).
