The hanging back-walled Hanukah lamp is made of brass and consists of a row of oil containers, a back and sides wall, and a hanger. A row of eight rectangular spouted oil containers is attached to the back and side walls. The pointed arch openwork back wall is flanked by two oil jugs and is devided into two parts. The rectangular lower part is composed of a row of six horseshoe arches. The triangular upper part bears a floral decoration. It is flanked on both sides by two oil-jugs with their spouts leaing inwards towards the center. The Shamash was inserted through a rectangular hole beneath the hanger.##A round hanger surmounts the triangle, and is surmounted in turn by a lily motif. The side walls are composed of a horseshoe arch surmounted by a flat bird. :MED : Metal:MH : 255mm (back); 122mm (sides):ML : 240mm (back); 50mm (sides):MDE : 60mm:MAT : Brass##Structure:cast ##Bondings:oil containers, side walls and Shamash fastened by pins.:CO : The Shamash is missing.:BIB : See also: J-M, Isr.
