Fol. 39v:

The biblical text in the centre of the page is surrounded by the Massorah magna and parva, the Targum in the inner

margin with Sefer ha-Gan written as two circles on top and bottom of it, and in the three outer margins by Rashi's commentary. In the right margin, the flow of Rashi's text is cut off at the center creating two short columns ending in triangular shape whose apexes facing inward.

The lower margin is occupied by a slant ladder with ten rungs executed in massoretic micrography. This is a condensed allusion to the narrative of Jacob’s dream in Beth-el appearing in the text: "And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth …" (Gen. 28:12). The word "Beth-el" (בית אל) is written in minute script on the left side of the lower edge of the page and a remnant of another word, probably "Jerusalem" (ירושלם), is seen at the center of the edge mostly cropped. The top and bottom Massorah conclude with a small geometrical motif.
