The cylindrical case has a domed top and bottom. The case is divided into three registers. The central one bears floral and foliate scrolls with an eagle in the centre with his head facing right and his claws facing left. The bottom register bears similar foliate motifs but has a deer in the center facing the same direction as the eagle. The top register is broken and missing. There is a slit in the centre for the scroll and the handle attached to it bears an inscription that reads: "Abraham Jaccob son of our teacher Rabbi Aaron". The handle has a foliate shaped grip. The domes on the top and bottom have holes and vertical slits in them. The top one has a peacock shaped apex and the bottom one has a bud shaped apex.
