The ceiling of the prayer hall was painted in 1903. A Leviathan biting his tail in the center is surrounded by zodiac signs, alternating with Stars of David. Each sygn is inscribed by its name and the name of its month.

The readable part of the inscription surrounding the zodiac sygns reads: 

ויגער ביצר הרע מן הנשואים, ויחון אותנו לפליטת עולמים, וימלא משﭏותינו ב'[מדה] ט'[טובה] י'[ישועה] ו'[רחמים] [תפילת עמידה]

גדלו ליי אתי ונרוממה שמו יחד [תהילים לד, ד]:

לך יי הגדולה והגבורה והתפארת והנצח וההוד כי כל בשמים ובארץ לך יי הממלכה והמתנשא לכל לראש [דברי הימים א, כט, יא]

Yours, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is yours; your is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all (1 Chronicles 29: 11).
