Fol. 148: Along the right side of the text space are three diamond-shaped panels, each containing the two first letters for the second verse of each strophe of the piyyut “God holds the scale of justice in his hand” (האוחז ביד מדת משפט) [Davidson II, ה, 19], written in dark brown display script on blue and a red filigree scrolls ground. This vertical design of diamond-shaped panel alternates with four red medallions containing a two-legged hybrid or a dragon. Each side of the diamond-shaped panels is decorated with a bow-shaped pattern in alternating blue and green, while the medallions are surrounded by flourish motifs, extending from the two extreme medallions into the upper and lower margins. Three small blue filigree square panels are placed to the left of each diamond-shaped panel, containing red alphabetic display initials tet, yod, khaf, (ט, י, כ) for the first verse of each strophe of the piyyut. Red graphic line fillers appear at the end of these lines.
