Fol. 44: The large panel occupies the main part of the text space, containing the two-line initial words of the yozer “King girded with power” (מלך אזור גבורה) (Davidson, III, מ, 1529) for the first day, written in display script against a background of alternating red and blue filigree lozenges. The panel is framed by bow-shaped patterns in alternating green and blue and decorated at each corner by a medallion enclosing a two-legged hybrid or a dragon in spared ground technique on blue and red-brownish ground. Four other medallions, enclosing hybrids and dragons on a red-brownish ground and framed in a green scalloped motif, are placed within the panel. Flourishes extend from the corner medallions into the upper and lower margins. Four colourful birds are perched on the tendrils in the upper margins, two on each side.
