The following description was prepared by William Gross:
This text is an ethical treatise, one of the most popular such writings in Jewish history.
The essay "Menorat Hameor", an ethical treatise, was a popular book and is found copied in many Yemenite manuscripts. Up to the middle of the 19th century the book had been printed in more than 60 editions. In Yemen, this essay was copied from a few printed editions and earlier manuscripts. This example was copied from the Venice 1544 edition and was written by a skilled scribe who added two pages representing the layout of the Temple and the place of the Golden Temple Menorah. In addition, the scribe drew a Menorah formed by the words of the 67th Psalm before the first page of the writing.
